The former Franklin County treasurer's biggest edge is his experience in state government. Cordray was elected treasurer in 2006 at a time when scandals plagued the Republican-controlled state government. His tenure there has shown him to be fiscally responsible and his record on ethics is excellent, areas where Dann fell short.
