Legal Disclaimer

Corporate checks cannot be accepted. Contributions are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for Federal Income Tax purposes. Cash contributions over $100 cannot be accepted.

An Ohio taxpayer may claim a credit for contributions made to political campaign committees of candidates for statewide office or the General Assembly. The credit is the lesser of the amount contributed or $50 for an individual return or $100 for a joint return.

Please note that The Cordray Committee is not permitted to accept campaign contributions from a provider of services or goods under contract with the department of job and family services pursuant to the Medicaid program of Title XIX of the "Social Security Act," 49 Stat. 620 (1935), 42 U.S.C. 301, as amended, or from any person having an ownership interest in the provider.

The Ohio Revised Code prohibits the award of government contracts, if political contributions to the officeholder or officeholders ultimately responsible for the award of the contract exceed specified amounts. These sections also limit contributions from the same persons after the award of a contract. If you are a current contractor with the State Attorney General's Office or may seek a contract in the next two calendar years, or are an owner, partner or shareholder of a business that has or may seek a contract, or the spouse of any such person, you are advised to review with legal counsel how this law may apply to you before making a contribution.
