The simple fact is that Attorney General is a spot that better suits Cordray's talents. A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, Cordray has worked in the AG's office as a senior advisor, served as a clerk for the U.S. Supreme Court and has tried cases at all levels, including before the U.S. Supreme Court.

In two decades of private practice, Cordray proved he would stand up for social justice and civil rights, fighting against the Ku Klux Klan and for the state's ethnic intimidation laws. Cordray also has experience as a state lawmaker.
